SolStats Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

Privacy Policy

We want you to use our service without any concern about your data. We respect your privacy. In this privacy policy we tell you exactly what data we have access to, how we use it and what we keep.

What data do we collect
For all visitors browsing our site, our web servers log a standard set of data about each page impression (such as the IP address from which you access our site and the browser that you are using). We use this data to help diagnose any errors that occur on the site. This data is deleted after 365 days.

When you request a SolStats report, you give us the geographic coordinates of the roof for which you are requesting a report. We use this information to build the SolStats report. We store this information in our database and use it to find out which country and area the building is in (as feed-in tariff pricing is set on a country basis). We also use the area information (but not your exact coordinates) to prepare reports that we use to market SolStats.

When you request a report we need your email address to send you the report. We keep your email address on file and from time to time send you information about SolStats and our partners that we think you'd find interesting. At any time you will be able to stop receiving these email messages by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email.

We store a copy of the report that you request to speed up the creation of future reports on the same property and to help us improve our service. These caches are deleted on a regular basis.

We ask you whether you would like us to provide your details to solar panel installers. If you choose to we collect your name and telephone number and we send this together with your email address and the SolStats report to select installers. We keep your name and telephone number on file.
